Prof. Jeroen Suijs has been appointed the new Director of the Department of Business Economics at Erasmus School of Economics as of 1 January 2022. He succeeds Prof. Benedict Dellaert who has been director for a little over 4 years.
Benedict Dellaert: ‘It had been a great pleasure to serve as Director of the department over the past four years. I am especially proud of the way everyone in the school has handled the many challenges during Covid-19 and of the great dedication to top-quality research and education that shines through in all our efforts.
Jeroen Suijs, Professor of Financial Accounting at Erasmus School of Economics since June 2017, thanks his predecessor for all his good work and the strong position for Business Economics which he can built upon. Suijs: ‘I am looking forward to the directorship and I aim to further improve the Department of Business Economics as a great working environment where our faculty members can excel in delivering top quality research and education.’
In the department of Business Economics research is conducted in the Accounting, Auditing and Control group, the Finance group, and the Marketing group.
