On the 19th of May 2016, The Association of Students of African Heritage will be organising their annual African Business Day for the second time. After the success of the previous edition, the board decided upon making this edition even bigger and better. Google, Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company are also present this year.

The focus of the event this year will be "Redefining Africa" where the aim is to fully address the negative stereotypes about the continent and celebrate success stories of the current African leaders in business. For the African Business Day 2016 we managed to arrange an array of innovative and renowned leaders such as Clinton Mutambo, CEO of Esaja.com, Colin Coleman from Goldman Sachs Afrika, Uzodinma Iweala, writer of the book 'Beasts of No Nation', Nana Kwame Bediako CEO of Wonda World and Gbenga Ajayi from Google.

The African Business Day takes place on the 19th of May on the campus of Erasmus University. In the morning there will be exclusive workshops with a limited number of seats given by companies with great influence in Africa, such as McKinsey & Company, FMO, and Shell. Even companies with a focus on sustainability such as Städler are involved.

The day also involves African entertainment and of course participants can sample delicious African cuisine. A business day is not a business day without networking opportunities, which is why there will be ample time to network with representatives from McKinsey, Shell, Google, Morgan Stanley and more.

As Malcolm X stated "For tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today". The African Business Day will prepare participants for the Africa of the future.
