As of May 1, 2017, Prof. Maria Grever will be a member of the Council for the Humanities.
The Council - one of four advisory councils that assist the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in providing advice in broad disciplinary areas - promotes scholarly research in the humanities and works to improve the position of the humanities in general. It facilitates dialogue and knowledge transfer between Dutch and foreign scholars.
The Council focuses on the arts and culture, history, philological or historical aspects of the study of law, language and literature, theology, and philosophy.
