The Minister of Education, Culture and Science has appointed Dr. Rahul Vas-Bhat as a member of the Supervisory Board of Erasmus University Rotterdam. Vas-Bhat has been appointed with the effective date of March 1, 2022 to February 28, 2026.
"With Rahul Vas-Bhat we have found an excellent supervisor who will use his expertise as the Chair of the Audit Committee. We look forward to working with Rahul”, said Jaap Winter Chairman of the EUR Supervisory Board.

I look forward to using my experience in Corporate Finance and IT to advise the Executive Board in collaboration with the other members of the Supervisory Board," said Rahul Vas-Bhat.
About the Supervisory Board
The Supervisory Board is responsible for supervising the administration and management of Erasmus University Rotterdam as a whole. It ensures that the Executive Board complies with legislation, rules and regulations and directives relating to the EUR. The Supervisory Board advises the Executive Board and is responsible for approving a number of specific decisions taken by the Executive Board.
The members of the Supervisory Board are appointed by the Minister of Education, Culture and Science for a period of four years and the Board is accountable to the Minister. One of the members of the Supervisory Board in particular should enjoy the confidence of the University Council.
The other members of the Supervisory Board are Prof.dr. Jaap Winter (Chairman), Prof.dr. Hans van Duijn, Drs. Laura van Geest and Prof.dr. Ellen Giebels.
