'We need to dismantle the system'

Panel of five people at TU Delft during Diversity Day

On Diversity Day, Helen Tibboel, project lead Research & Monitoring at IDEA Center, participated in a panel session at TU Delft, alongside Rabin S. Baldewsingh, Caspar Chorus and Albaraa Khalil.

In the panel, moderated by Dr. Lexter Woodley, important topics like how to make universities truly inclusive, combatting discrimination and racism, and ensuring equal opportunities for all, were discussed.

Helen Tibboel: ‘We need to dismantle the system. Policies are important but that’s not enough; ensuring real change requires community, cooperation, and cocreation.’

The panel and the audience agreed: everyone is responsible for creating change, it starts with every one of us.

As Atta De Tolk stated: ‘We are the ones we’ve been waiting for’.
