Alumna Health Psychology

Choosing the master's in Health Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam was a bit of a difficult choice for me. Coming from a background in Pedagogical Sciences, it wasn't the most straightforward path to take, but I'm happy I did. I was drawn to this programme for its unique blend of theory, creativity, and applied innovation. It didn't just teach me how to understand human behaviour; it also empowered me to design real solutions for real people. On top of that, this master's is still new and innovative, which gives you the advantage of truly standing out.

What stood out to me was how practical the programme was. The latter courses were focused on real-world cases, where I applied psychological theories and user-centred design principles to develop digital health interventions that genuinely address societal needs. Whether exploring behaviour change frameworks or thinking critically about accessibility, ethics, and user motivation, I was constantly challenged to think beyond the textbook.

One highlight was my internship at Interhuman AI, where I co-developed an AI-supported parenting app to help families navigate behavioural challenges. The combination of academic knowledge and hands-on design experience helped me grow into a confident professional, someone who can contribute meaningfully to interdisciplinary teams.
After graduation, I will join a company in the Netherlands as an implementation consultant, working on digitalising general practitioner (GP) care. I'm excited to start and to see what's next!
