Introduction
Erasmus University College (EUC) is searching for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to plan, coordinate and teach theoretical and practical courses in the fields of Economics and Business within the curriculum of our Liberal Arts & Sciences bachelor programme.
Job description
The primary tasks of the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer are tutoring across various courses (including academic and quantitative skills courses), reviewing assessment work done by students and development and coordination of courses. Lecturers also guide Capstone projects of students in their final year at EUC. The Economics and Business Department (ECB) at EUC closely cooperates with the 3 other departments (Humanities, Life Sciences, and Social and Behavioural Sciences) to provide top quality interdisciplinary education to our Bachelor students. The ECB team consists of 15 people. Staff are expected to be able to fill in for each other and/or to reinforce one another in case of peak workloads. This is a teaching role with limited scope for academic research.

Job requirements
We are seeking applicants that:
- have relevant teaching experience (preferably at least three years) and a demonstrable affinity with teaching;
- have completed their University Teaching Qualification (BKO) or equivalent, or are willing to acquire your BKO in the short term;
- hold or be completing a PhD in a relevant field of research (or at least have a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or Business Economics);
- have excellent communication skills and are highly proficient in the English language (at least C1 level);
- You are willing and able to guide tutorial groups on a broad range of subjects: you are particularly well-trained in economics and finance, but candidates with additional teaching experience a/o expertise in quantitative skills a/o business are specifically encouraged to apply;

The start date of this position is to be discussed. You will be based at the Erasmus University College (EUC). This position is for 0.8 fte. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 3.378 to a maximum of € 5.331 gross per month (scale 10) on a fulltime basis (38 hours), in accordance with the CAO-NU. The contract is offered for a period of 1 year and can be converted into an employment contract for an indefinite period if suitability is proven and if continued in the same position, if (financial and/or organizational) circumstances remain the same.

The Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences is home to a vast diversity of scientific disciplines: public administration, pedagogical sciences, psychology and sociology.
