Are you ready to put your content creation and digital marketing skills into practice? Are you keen to contribute to organisations with a positive impact? We are looking for a Marketing Officer on a 6-month temporary contract to cover the absence of one of our team members.

Job description

In this temporary role, you will be responsible for implementing and optimising online marketing efforts for Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University’s commercial Open and Customised Programmes. Our aspiration is to continue being a leading business school in Europe offering corporate education while being a force for positive change.

To help achieve this, we need a skilled and motivated self-starter who can support and execute our marketing strategy during the absence of one of our Marketing Officers. You will join our international marketing team, consisting of marketing managers and fellow officers, and work closely with our Sales and Programme Management teams.

Your daily activities and responsibilities include:

Content creation:
• Create and coordinate marketing materials and content with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Ensure brand consistency across all marketing collateral.
• Develop and publish engaging content for social media, email marketing, and other digital channels.
• Produce and manage content such as videos, podcasts, white papers, and photography to support lead generation and conversion.

Campaign planning and evaluation:
• Execute and monitor online and offline marketing campaigns.
• Track performance metrics (ROI, CPL, conversion rates, engagement) and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Align campaigns with Sales teams to support lead conversion.
• Coordinate webinars and virtual information sessions.

Collaboration:
• Collaborate with our marketing agency to optimise the online customer journey and media mix.
• Work closely with Sales, Business Consultants, and Corporate Communications to ensure alignment across initiatives.

Job requirements

To be successful in this temporary role, you bring:
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience.
• At least three years of experience in a digital marketing position.
• Experience in marketing data analysis, data-driven marketing, and statistics is a strong advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Dutch is strongly preferred.
• The ability to adapt and learn quickly, work independently, and turn ideas into action.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and organisational sensitivity.
• Ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
• Experience with systems such as Adobe Creative Suite, CMS (Typo3), CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365), and email marketing tools (ClickDimensions). Experience with Google GA, Semrush, PowerBI, and/or Looker is an advantage.
• Photo editing and graphic design skills are preferred but not required.
