Biography
Veronika Bak is a PhD candidate at the Department of Media and Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She is a member of the research team of the Horizon Europe SEISMEC project (Supporting European Industry Success Maximisation through Empowerment Centered development), a pioneering project funded by the European Commission. Working with a consortium of 31 partners from 17 countries, the SEISMEC project focuses on transforming workplaces across Europe, putting human-centred approaches and worker empowerment at the forefront of advanced technology implementation and industrial development.
Veronika's research focuses on the societal implications of emerging technologies and human-centred approaches to workplace technology, as well as skills development and workforce adaptation. Her goal is to conduct impactful research that will help European industry to create adaptable and inclusive workplaces that benefit both employees and society. As a Reshaping Work Fellow, she also seeks to actively support initiatives that promote a sustainable future of work.
