    • This programme indeed used to consist of four full days on campus. Due to the coronacrisis, we were forced to offer this course digitally. Online education has other needs than live education. Attending four days full of digital meetings and courses is very exhausting, which would lead to less productivity and effectiveness. By splitting this course into several modules and spreading the content over a longer period, we believe that you will experience less stress. Through this measure, you are able to attend the course on your own pace. The overall time investment is about four to six hours a week.

    • At a research university, you are no longer obliged to study. You make your own choices, which is also the case in this course. However, we suggest completing the full course to increase your study success. The individual modules each have their own topic and they make up for a coherent course which tackle all requirements for success.

    • The course is held from 13 July until 14 August, 2020. This means that you cann attend the individual assignments on your own pace, on a time that suits you best. The only exception is the weekly groupmeeting, which is on a set date. This timetable will be published later. If you are not able to attend, you can join a catch-up session.

    • During the five weeks of this programme, you’ll have four online meetings (about once a week) with your ‘buddy group’. This group consists of students from the same bachelor programme which you’re going to attend. Of course, there will be plenty of opportunities to digitally connect with other EUR students.

    • Your assignments will not be graded. However, we will examine whether you prepared for the group meetings by completing the individual assignments. These assignments are a valuable investment in yourself, since they will increase your chances of study success.

    • You will not receive credits (ECTS) for participating in this programme. To start well prepared, we recommend taking part. It is a valuable investment in yourself. Also, you will receive a certificate of attendance after completing the course, which is a great boost to your CV. To determine whether you’ll receive this certificate, we examine your effort in this programme through individual and group assignments.

    • This course is all about personal leadership and the preparation of your student life. We’ll teach you key elements to take your future into your own hands and increase your study success. A small part of this programme is about your specific bachelor programme, and the larger part is about you, with tips and tricks to study successfully.

    • In this course, personal leadership and a good preparation into your study time at EUR have a main focus. Besides essential study skills and the theory behind an effective study routine, you’ll learn how to deploy your network to create success. You’ll learn which role your own background plays in study success and how to define your own path.
