Erasmus University Rotterdam fits right into the dynamic atmosphere of the city with unique campuses, various student associations and possibilities to engage in sports or cultural activities next to studying. We're actually pretty happy that Rotterdam is our hometown!

Finding a house in Rotterdam is not easy. But we will try to make the search as easy as possible for you by offering you multiple tips and tricks.

Groceries

A supermarket is the most common source for groceries. In the supermarket you will find produce, bread and other baked goods, meats, dairy products, frozen foods, dry goods and kitchen utensils. 

Specialty stores

There is an abundance in specialty stores in Rotterdam. Gimsel, Marqt and Ekoplaza focus on organic foods and products. Other stores sell products from all over the world, e.g. stores in the Markthal. Here you can find shops with Moroccan spices and Spanish ham and a Chinese supermarket.

Markets

At ten locations in and around Rotterdam, you can find fresh produce markets. The market Binnenrotte in the city centre is the second largest market of the Netherlands, the market Afrikaanderplein is the third largest!
