Below is a brief summary of the dissertation:

With the incredible increase of data available in the biomedical industry, unfortunately we have not seen an associated growth in the number of bioinformaticians to analyse that data. Every year the improvements in sequencing and software enable the existing bioinformaticians to do more with less, but we have more opportunities to improve and expand the field and we should take advantage of them.

This thesis, this "grimoire" of "bioinformagic" provides researchers with a number of spells and rituals that can enable them to slice and dice and analyse their data, producing production quality plots.

Instead of focusing only on software, it takes a systems approach and pushes forward the software, but also the infrastructure; enabling more researchers to develop competency in bioinformatics.
