"We have reached the heights of our abilities, but at the same time we also see the most essential systems getting stuck. Power and powerlessness meet each other in this time of transition." On 1 November, Floris Alkemade will deliver the Lapré lecture.
Architect and former Chief Government Architect Alkemade uses his imagination to sketch a desirable and feasible future image of the Netherlands and consider the comprehensive cultural change society is facing. In this lecture he wants to offer perspective, inspire with ideas that are useful in practice and encourage more willingness to change.

About the Lapré lecture
The Lapré lecture takes place once every two years organised by Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM) and Erasmus Centrum voor Zorgbestuur, 'With the aim of connecting knowledge about the specifics of healthcare governance with practice, connecting different generations and drawing meaningful parallels with art,' says Ruud Lapré, co-founder of Erasmus Centrum voor Zorgbestuur.
The Lapré Lecture 2023 is one of the lustrum activities of the 110th anniversary of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
