Discover the City Through Art

Bike tour on the (art) history of Rotterdam by Dorus Hoebink
Bikes against a wall, next to a street art mural. It shows a man with a hat and a colorful face.

Did you know that Rotterdam has an incredible amount of art in public spaces? Of course, the sculpture The Destroyed City by Zadkine, commemorating the bombing, is well known, but are you also familiar with the sculpture of the little dog Fikkie proudly looking at his poop or the Caland monument? During this bike tour, you will be taken past more or less well-known art-historical gems that all say something about the identity and history of the city. So hop on your bike and discover Rotterdam, or open your eyes to the art in the public spaces of our beloved city.
