Frank Bloem is originally a visual artist. Starting in 2014, he began working on creating perfumes and designing scents for exhibitions. He designed elephant scents for Artis, he created a North Sea perfume for the North Sea Embassy, and he manages the Aroma Lab at art center Mediamatic His company The Snifferoo makes perfumes and fragrances on commission. In 2022, he published his book ‘Geur. De vergeten sensatie’.

About the film: 

Based on the famous novel Das Parfum, the film tells the story of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, born in the stench of 18th century Paris, develops a superior olfactory sense, which he uses to create the world's finest perfumes. However, his work takes a dark turn as he tries to preserve scents in the search for the ultimate perfume.
