Discover how small thinking yields big insights during Brain Awareness Week, High School Brain Day in Rotterdam. It promises to be an interactive day full of science, workshops and hands-on experiences around the theme of "The Nano Brain".
The High School Brain Day is the central event for 5VWO and 6VWO students of Brain Awareness Week in Rotterdam and offers an inspiring programme that brings together science, technology and social relevance. Under the annual theme "The Nano Brain", students discover how micro-scale processes play a major role in brain development, behaviour and cognitive functions.
Programme
During High School Brain Day, you can participate in a presentation and various interactive workshops. Afterwards, you can even take part in a live brain dissection.

Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is a global initiative that has been raising awareness of the importance of brain research among the general public for 25 years. In Rotterdam, it is led by Dr Anderson Mora Cortes (EUC). BAW is celebrated every year in the third week of March in more than 100 countries, involving universities, hospitals, NGOs, colleges and private organisations.
