The rector magnificus of Erasmus University Rotterdam announces that Dr. J.J. (Jaap) van Hellemond appointed as professor of Clinical parasitology and the emerging threats due to globalization and climate change at Erasmus MC, will publicly accept his appointment on Friday 30 January 2026 with an inaugural lecture entitled: Future Developments in Parasite Control*

The ceremony will begin at 16.00 hrs promptly in the Aula, Erasmus building, of the university, Burgemeester Oudlaan 50, Rotterdam.
