As we observe another World Teachers' Day this year, we at the IDEA Center wish to acknowledge the significant role educators and other staff members play in fostering the ‘inclusive culture’ of EUR. To support them further in their efforts to establish inclusive classrooms and sense of belonging for all, we have planned the Inclusive Education Good Practice Workshop on Designing an inclusive Curriculum. An inclusive curriculum provides all students with an equal opportunity to achieve the learning outcomes of the study programme.
The workshop will discuss the basic principles of inclusive curriculum designing along with different approaches that will help in developing a diversity of materials, teaching and learning strategies, assessment practices, and learning objectives. Besides teachers, the workshop is also useful for tutors, policy advisors on education and/or learning innovation consultants. Participate in the workshop to learn how, from your position within the institution, you can embed equity and inclusion in the curriculum.
The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday October 4th, 13:00 - 15:00 in Theil building C2- 1. The workshop is part of the official lustrum programme.
