IWD 2020 Lunch: 'Woman and Health'

Despite the huge advances that have been made in medicine, it is still afflicted by gender bias. This is reflected in the gaps in understanding of women's health, discrepancies in research expenditure, and even a gender gap in certain health outcomes.

To shine a light on these issues and to mark International Women’s Day 2020, Erasmus MC will host a lunch lecture at the Nieuwe Instituut on women’s health.

The keynote speaker will be Prof. dr. Jolien Roos-Hesselink. Prof. Roos-Hesselink is one of the founders of the VENA-association in the Erasmus MC, and her work involves adult congenital heart disease, pregnancy in cardiac patients and aortic disease.
