Let’s Talk About Sex!

Lecture and Discussion on Porn, Sexual Fantasies & more
Two dolls simulating intercourse

We all have sexual fantasies. Still, they are not always something we are open about. Not even with the people we trust the most. Why is this? What is the role of fantasies in sex? And can porn help us in actually opening up about the fantasies we do have?

During Let’s Talk About Sex! we will dive into these questions together with the experts on the topic of sexuality and porn of our very own Erasmus Love Lab and beyond:

  • Dr. Samira van Bohemen, lead of the LoveLab, will tell us all about the ins and outs of their current research in the PORN-types project. Why do stereotypes in porn exist? Why do they turn us on? And:  What is their impact on society?
  • Researcher at the LoveLab Lena van de Lande will tell us about sexual fantasies and how these are researched at the LoveLab. Do they know the fantasies you might have?
  • Moreover, dr. Marieke Dewitte (Maastricht University) will join us to talk about sexual fantasies and porn from a sexologist perspective. Is porn detrimental to relationships or can they actually benefit from it?

A night full of talks, discussions, and maybe even a few scientifically sound sex tips!
