VAT fraud

Every year, the EU Member States lose only 50 billion euros due to VAT fraud. Dealing with this fraud is high on the agenda, whereby not only malicious entrepreneurs are tackled, but also entrepreneurs are disadvantaged by measurements. John Gruson will explain more about this topic.

Trade Politics

Martijn Schippers will conclude this masterclass with Trade Politics. Trade policy developments in recent years have made headlines in the media. Think of Brexit, trade policy measures taken by the former Trump administration and the tense relationship between China and the West. Fiscal sustainability initiatives and the taxation of the digital economy also seem to have an increasing influence on trade policy. Martijn provides insight into trends and discusses the consequences of customs law in more detail.
