FAME (Females in Academia Moving towards Equity) is organizing a workshop Negotiation with Power and Impact for Women. When it comes to negotiations, resolving disagreement, and difficult conversations, where is your comfort zone? Do you prefer competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding or accommodating? What do gender and negotiation approach have to do with negotiation dynamics?
In the interactive workshop Negotiation with Power and Impact for Women, given by ECWO, each participant will
- reflect on how her preferred approach may affect outcomes
- explore the implications of research on gender and negotiations
- learn strategies for using each approach effectively
Each participant will complete a Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode assessment in advance of the workshop and will practice adapting her negotiation style and approach in a mock negotiation case.
