Recently, the portrait gallery Professors Represented in Erasmus Building was expanded with 48 new portraits of female professors. Please join us on Tuesday, September 22nd, for the official opening of Professors Represented.

Professors Represented was first revealed on November 8th, 2022, on the first floor of Erasmus Building, outside the Senaatszaal. The new portraits are closeby, on the walls left and right of the Senaatszaal.
The portrait gallery, an initiative by IDEA Center (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access Center), showcases gender diversity in top academic positions and complements the portraits of (mostly male) professors that were already on display on campus. Professors Represented concerns female professors at EUR from 2021-2025. All female professors of that period were invited to join.
Representation matters. Role models - and the visibility of role models, like in this portrait gallery - are important. This project is part of IDEA Center's commitment and continuous efforts to represent and highlight the multiple dimensions of diversity of our community, including gender, ethnicity, functional impairment/disability, and LGBTQIA+.
