About One Young World
One Young World is the global forum for young leaders, hosting annual Summits that empower young people between 18 and 30 years old to develop solutions to the world’s most pressing issues. Apart from the Olympic Games and the UN General Assembly, no international event represents as many countries.
The One Young World Summit 2018 will be held in The Hague, The Netherlands from 17 to 20 October.
Since its inception in 2009, One Young World has hosted over 9,000 young leaders between the ages of 18-30 drawn from global businesses, universities and NGOs and they are expecting a further 1,400 delegates from all 196 countries in The Hague. So far, 17.5 million people have been affected by One Young World delegate-led initiatives.
The Delegates at the Summit are joined by world leaders, acting as One Young World Counsellors, who lend their global stature to the Delegates’ views and inspire them to create positive change. One Young World Counsellors include Kofi Annan, Professor Muhammad Yunus, Mary Robinson, Emma Watson, John Kerry, Thuli Madonsela and Richard Branson.
