Learn how to edit your photos in Photoshop or Photopea (free alternative) in this short online course.
Besides exploring the Photoshop (or Photopea) program, you will learn how to edit a photo by means of various selection techniques, the use of layers, masks and transformations. You learn to improve image by means of levels, contrast, color balance etc. We also look at resolution (for print or screen) and color modes (CMYK, RGB) and work with the text tools, rulers and much more.
After this workshop you can:
- Properly edit and optimize a digital image
- Do you know what color mode and resolution you need for the web or print
-Do you know that (almost) everything is possible in the field of image editing.
For those who do not have Photoshop, the free program Photopea is a good alternative. All the tools we show for Photoshop can also be used in Photopea.

The teacher Maria Hylarides:
Maria Hylarides works as an independent designer and has over 20 years of experience as a teacher in Photoshop, Illustrator and photography at the SKVR, Kuub3 and Digital Playground.
She completed the training in graphic design and photography at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. She is affiliated with the Beeldfabriek.
