Discover the power of your words in our Poetry & Spoken Word Workshop!
In this 2-hour session (held in English), an experienced instructor will guide you through:
- Writing your own poetry / spoken word
- Performing your work with confidence and impact
- Performance techniques to bring your text to life on stage
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced writers. Whether you love writing poems, are curious about spoken word, or want to learn how to perform your work effectively for an audience, this session offers practical tools, inspiration, and a supportive space to experiment.
Teacher: Luis Bracamontes (He/They) is a queer Mexican spoken word artist based in Rotterdam. Founder of Unwanted Words, an award-winning platform for LGBTQ+ poets in The Netherlands and creator of the "Queer & Feminist Poetry Awards" Vol 1 (2020) & Vol 2 (2023). In 2021 he published the book "Queer & Feminist Poetry Anthology" compiling the works of 50 LGBTQ+ poets in the Netherlands.
