Discrimination still remains one of the bigger societal issues, in spite of globalization and the ever-increasing international character of Dutch residents.

Sadly enough, due to recent developments such as the outbreak of the Coronavirus, discrimination seems to have become even more tangible and taken more hostile forms, especially towards people of Asian ethnicity. The rise of social media is a double-edged sword: it allows for raising more awareness of such incidents, but this can be both in a positive and negative way.

We, CSA-EUR, wish to solidify the positive edge of the sword by organizing a seminar about discrimination. For this, we have invited the vice-president of the Chinese Network Police and contact points from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. They will tell you about what they can do when incidents happen to you or in your surroundings. After this plenary session, there will be room for sharing and discussing real-life experiences about discrimination.

Join us in this evening session on Friday 6 March from 18:30 to 20:00 in the Serre in Erasmus Pavilion, Campus Woudestein, Erasmus University Rotterdam.

If you wish to (anonymously) share your own experiences regarding this matter, you can do this via this link.

Remember: You are not alone.
