About the workshop

This preparatory workshop is meant to introduce participants to TRIBU26. This Tribunal will be part of 2026 Women, a multi-day international gathering focused on gender justice, storytelling, and collective action.

During the workshop in January, participants will be introduced to the TRIBU26 and its historical precedent, as well as what being part of the Rotterdam delegation entails. They will hear about the roles students can take during the Tribunal: supporting discussions, guiding participants, helping with translations, and/or keeping a record of the different table discussions.

A community making event

The workshop will also include a creative and intercultural empowerment activity that will give participants a sense of the spirit and practices of the Tribunal. It will be a community-making event that will bring together students and staff from different faculties, as well as local community members, gender rights activists, and organizers. Food and drinks will be provided.

About TRIBU26 and the fieldtrip to Antwerp in March

TRIBU26 will take place on 28 March 2026 in Antwerp. It will be the final event of 2026 Women. The TRIBU26 will bring together 500 FINTA participants across 50 conversation tables to share experiences and knowledge, and to collectively formulate proposals for change. Each table will be supported by a facilitator and a rapporteur, roles for which the Rotterdam delegation will support.

Traveling (to Antwerp) arrangements for student participants will be covered.

Who can join

The preparatory workshop is open to everyone, especially students and staff at Erasmus University Rotterdam who are interested in learning more about TRIBU26 and potentially join the Rotterdam delegation in March. No prior experience is required, and people from all study programmes and university services are welcome.
