Experience what it's like to be an international student for a day and join us on an exciting trip from Rotterdam to Bochum! As part of our commitment to connecting with other UNIC universities and offering diverse opportunities to go abroad for our students, we're thrilled to offer this fully funded excursion to Germany.
About UNIC Experience
The UNIC Experience is a day trip offered to a large group of students, visiting one of our closest partner cities such as Liège or Bochum. During this excursion, students will experience how universities in other countries function, experience a different style of education and teaching, learn about topics from another perspective, and they will strengthen their international network. Additionally, they will learn about topics relevant to UNIC's identity and compare student life in the visited city with that in Rotterdam.

- Time: The bus leaves at 7:30AM, we will leave Bochum again at 8:00PM.
- Costs: Free
- Who? We are primarily targeting students at Erasmus University Rotterdam that
- are enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student;
- have little or no experience abroad.

07:30 | Departure Rotterdam to Bochum by bus, breakfast packages in the bus
10:30 | Campus tour at Ruhr University Bochum, highlights and botanical garden
12:00 | Lunch @ RUB Campus
13:30 | Introduction to RUBiss: International Student Services. The RUBiss team is responsible for all international students and prospective students at RUB. They are the main contact persons for all formal, social and study-related questions for international students.
14.30 | RUB-Makerspace tour: In the former Opel factory in Bochum, students from all disciplines can put their ideas into pactice. We will explore this innovative and unique teaching location where boundaries between science and business are broken down.
16:30 | Sight seeing
18:00 | Dinner @Bermuda3Eck
20:00 | Back to Rotterdam by bus

A maximum of 55 students can be admitted to this day trip, so the available spots are limited. The registration is open until the 22nd of April (or until spots fill up - first come, first served). You can sign up via MyEur.
Note: Regrettably, we have noticed a rising number of no-shows. We kindly request that you only sign up if you're committed to attending the trip. Should unforeseen circumstances prevent your participation, please notify us via email at partnerships@eur.nl. This allows us to offer the spot to another interested student.
