The International Office at Erasmus University Rotterdam is looking to take a circular approach to international students coming and going. To ensure that no items go to waste, we’re giving the opportunity to departing students to donate any items they may no longer need to students that will begin studying in spring.
Drop off (by appointment only)
If you would like to donate items, please send an email to orientation@eur.nl so we can schedule an appointment at our office between Monday, December 1 and Tuesday, December 16
Accepted items include:
- Practical household items; pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs, cups, glasses, cutting boards, kitchen tools (spatulas, whisks, etc.)
- Small kitchen appliances; kettle, toaster, blender
- Room and living items; bedding (pillows, bedsheets) only in good condition, lamps, small decorations
- Electronics; extension cords and power strips, small desk lamps, calculators
- School and study supplies; notebooks, pens, markers, backpacks
- Kitchen and cleaning supplies; unopened cleaning products, laundry baskets, small drying racks
- Seasonal & clothing items; winter coats, scarves, gloves, hats, warm sweaters, umbrellas.
Collect items
As of Monday, January 12 till Thursday, February 26, incoming students will be able to “shop” the donations given by departing students and employees.
All items will be free, and entry is open to all. Take what you need but leave some for your fellow students too!
The Swapshop is all about swapping and giving away not selling. Students are free to take items without having to give anything in return.
