This year David Yermack will again be visiting professor at Erasmus School of Economics. David Yermack is the Albert Fingerhut Professor of Finance and Business Transformation at the New York University, Stern School of Business, and a Research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He received his PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University in 1994.

His research addresses issues in corporate finance, corporate governance, executive compensation, and law and economics. His articles have been published in leading academic journals such as Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Review of Financial Studies.

He has been a visiting professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Erasmus School of Economics each summer since 2008. At Erasmus he has taught courses in the ERIM and Tinbergen Institute doctoral programs and participated in research seminars, conferences, and doctoral dissertation committees. During his visit in 2013, Professor Yermack will lecture the annual Erasmus Management Lecture.
