Dr. Payal Arora, Assistant Professor in the Department of Media and Communication, will be taking on the position of Visiting Scholar at theSteinhardt School of Media, Culture and Communication in New York for the period of November and December.
Dr. Arora will be working with Arjun Appadurai, who is the Paulette Goddard Professor in Media, Culture and Communication at New York University and was also recently appointed Honorary Professor in the Department of Media and Communication of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Furthermore, Dr. Arora will be partaking in the weekly Privacy workgroup run by Helen Nissenbaum from the faculty. There, she will be continuing her research for her upcoming book contracted by Harvard University Press, called ‘Poor@Play: Digital Life beyond the West.’
