A new book, edited by Dr Marilena Vecco (Arts and Culture Studies, EUR) and Lauso Zagato (Social Sciences/Human Rights Law, Università Ca'Foscari Venezia), has recently been published: Citizens of Europe. Culture e dirriti.
In this volume, devoted to issues of identity and cultural citizenship, tension is raised between the limits of political, cultural and citizenship, pursued by the European Union. The authors progressively think - despite the dark shadows cast by the dramatic actuality - of a wider notion of 'European citizenship'.
The book contains contributions from Vecco and Zagato themselves, as well as essays from Bernardo Cortese, Claudia Da Re and Julianne Tudose.
