Erasmus Moot Team wins international pre-moot competition

Hamer rechtbank

The Erasmus Vis Moot Team of Erasmus School of Law, represented by master students Natasha Singh and Leon Goh, secured the first place in the Fox Williams Pre-Moot on 28 February 2021. The Fox Williams Pre-Moot is a moot competition in the run up to the prestigious Willem C. Vis Moot Competition.

As a part of any master program at Erasmus School of Law, a student can opt for an elective course on the Vis Moot Competition. Over a timespan of six months, the students develop strategies and theories, write memoranda for the claimant of the fictional case  (introduced by the Willem C. Vis Moot organisation) and participate in pre-moots (like the Fox Williams Pre-Moot) to prepare for the main Vis Moot Competition in Vienna.

Since this year, bachelor students are also welcome to assist the Erasmus Team. On a voluntary basis, they assist the master students in doing research, acquiring good sources and checking their written submissions on mistakes, structure and lay-out.
