Erasmus University improves score in Shanghai ranking
Erasmus University Rotterdam has risen in the Academic Ranking of World Universities, also known as the Shanghai ranking. The university is now among the top 150 in the world in this important research ranking.
Last year Erasmus University was among the top 200 in the world. The Rotterdam based university is now the fourth ranked university in the Netherlands, along with the Radboud University Nijmegen, University of Amsterdam and Wageningen University, who are also part of the group 101-150. The list is topped by Harvard, just like last year.
Looking at the research areas Erasmus University scores well at Economics and Business, Social Sciences and Medicine.
The ARWU ranking is based on the number of cited researchers, the number of published articles, the quality of the faculty and the number of Nobel Prize winners of the university.
