Since time flies when you are having fun (read: holiday), block 3 has already started... As you are reading the student newsletter of January, we would like to congratulate you with the survival of New Year's Eve. FAECTOR wishes you a great 2017!
In December we enjoyed doing various activities. On the very first of December we organised the Classy Dinner at Eetcafé 't Keerpunt. Students enjoyed a 3-course meal while a professional pianist provided some background music. During the dinner we played several games including "Guess the Song" where the pianist played the songs. The winning tables got the opportunity to grab a present out of the bag of Sinterklaas. When also the desserts were finished, tables were moved aside and students showed their best dancing moves.
Last but not least, this weekend a lot of FAECTORians are travelling all the way to Avoriaz to enjoy a weekend full of skiing.

In January the interviews for the new committees will take place. Are you interested in joining the IT Committee, Sport Committee, Econometric Career Days (ECD) Committee, FAECTOR Research Project (FRP) Committee or Estimator Committee? Upload your motivation letter and CV (before the 14th of January 23:59h) and become one of FAECTOR's Active Members!
As FAECTOR's very first Business Trip is getting closer and closer and a lot of progress is being made behind the scenes, we organised an information session this week. During this information session we announced our programme, the participating companies and the destination: Vienna. The trip will take place from Monday the 24th of April until Saturday the 29th of April, during the study-free week between block 4 and 5. Subscriptions for the Business Trip are open and the selection procedure will be based on your CV and motivation letter. The costs of participating in the trip will be €325,-.
Furthermore, on the 24th of January Find Your Match will be organised. Find Your Match is the yearly speed date event for third year students and higher. During this event over ten companies come to the Faculty Club looking for new interns and starters. For more information or if you want to know the participating companies please click here.
