Eerste MOOC Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam online

The first massive open online course (MOOC) of Erasmus University Rotterdam is now online. In the MOOC ‘Econometrics: Methods and Applications’ learners from all over the world can explore the fascinating world of econometrics and learn how to analyse and solve business and economic questions with data analysis tools. The Econometrics MOOC is provided by Erasmus School of Economics.

With econometric knowledge, someone is able to translate data into models to make forecasts and to support decision making in a wide variety of fields, ranging from macroeconomics to finance and marketing. By watching videos, making quizzes and exercises, learners study topics like regression, probability, binary choice data and model specification. During the months of January and February the teachers of Erasmus School of Economics provide intensive guidance and assistance. The course takes an average six weeks to complete and is open for everyone to follow on the Coursera platform.
