Frank van der Duijn Schouten appointed interim Statutory Director EUR-Holding

The shareholder of the EUR Holding BV has appointed prof. dr. Frank van der Duijn Schouten as interim Statutory Director of the Holding. He succeeds Prof. dr. Harry Commandeur who recently stepped down from this position. The Supervisory Board is extremely thankful to Professor Commandeur for steering and developing the Holding for these past 14 years such that it is now an essential part of the EUR-family in which particularly the relation with the non-academic world has come to flourish.

Interim appointment

Before commencing the search for a permanent successor to Professor Commandeur, the Supervisory Board wishes to investigate whether the present structure of the Holding, including its governance, is equipped to deal with the new challenges that universities face in organising those activities that are not financed by the government from the first and second money streams. Also, the relationship of the EUR-Holding with related entities within the EUR-organisation, such as RSM BV and the recently established Erasmus Enterprise, need further attention. The assignment of the interim Director is to provide advice on these issues in order to enable the Supervisory Board to take next steps of a more permanent character.
