The future of pro-people development in South Asia

On 26 September, ISS and the South Asia Alliance for Poverty Eradication will present a report on 'South Asia and the Future of Pro-People Development: The Centrality of Social Justice and Equality' to ISS rector, Professor Inge Hutter

The report provides a description of the resistance movements in South Asia and a critical examinatin of the structures and processes that created them. It considers the problems of widening inequality in the region and the nature of economic growth.

The seminar, to be held at ISS on 26 September, will include an introduction to the work of the South Asia Alliance for Poverty Eradication (SAAPE) and a presentation of the report to ISS rector, Inge Hutter.
