Published in Europe-Asia Studies (vol. 68, no. 2 pp. 460-486), the article they analyse how Sarajevo’s young adults from a middle class, interethnic background deal with the rigid ethnic categorization enforced by state institutions and society.
The authors show that the strategies they choose are not only unsatisfactory to the actors themselves but also wield no influence on the institutions they wish to change.
