The network event was hosted in order to conduct an inventory of old and new knowledge activities in The Hague and to organise an exchange of ideas among academics, practitioners and civil servants on current humanitarian issues.
In the autumn of 2017 several humanitarian knowledge initiatives will be launched in The Hague. The Hague Humanity Hub will open its doors. The OCHA Data Centre will form part of the Hub, as will several other partners. In addition the Humanitarian Knowledge Centre will have its launching event. These events made June the perfect time to come together and exchange knowledge.Â
During the event the participatns were given the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about new initiatives and about the humanitarian research agenda of academic insitutions in and around the hague.Â
