Leiden-Delft-Erasmus strategy 2019-2024

Campus woudestein

A long and ongoing process lies behind the drawing up of a new strategy for the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus alliance. An important step in this process is the series of consultations with the employee representative bodies and the Supervisory Boards of the three universities. These consultations are taking place in the period March-April 2019, after which the final decisions will be made.

Sustainable Society, Inclusive Society, Healthy Society and Digital Society

The broad lines of the 2019-2024 strategic plan can already be seen in the interviews with the five Scientific Directors of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus centres in this magazine. During the interviews they were asked how the centres – which have just formulated their long-term plans – fit into the four profiling themes of LDE: Sustainable Society, Inclusive Society, Healthy Society and Digital Society. These societal themes will be leading in the continuation of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus alliance.

Quality, Complementarity and Proximity

In these interviews with the Executive Board presidents of the three universities, the reason for the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus collaboration was also made clear: to contribute to providing answers to societal issues through quality, complementarity and proximity, and in regard to education, research and valorisation, while working together with social partners.
