June 16, 2023 is Neurodiversity Pride Day. The theme of 2023 is What's STRONG with you?. This day, created in the Netherlands, celebrates - since 2018 - the added value of neurodiversity, the positive side of everyone's neurological differences and the power of being your authentic self.

There are activities around the world celebrating the 6th edition of Neurodiversity Pride Day. On June 15 and 16, the two-day conference NeuroEmergence 2023: Owning Our Stories will take place, a virtual gathering for neurodivergent people and allies focused on coming together and sharing (personal) stories.

On June 16, the Neuro Inclusive Politician Award will be presented. This prize is awarded to a politician who works on behalf of neurodivergent people and their rights. This year, five politicians have been nominated: Don Ceder (ChristenUnie), Peter Kwint (SP), Rudmer Heerema (VVD), Marijke van Beukering-Huijbregts (D66) and Rene Peters (CDA). More information about the award: https://neurodiversiteit.nl/nip-award/.

And there are many more activities. You can find more information at www.neurodiversiteit.nl/pride or on www.neurodiversityprideday.com. So plenty of opportunities to celebrate on June 16 what positive neurodiversity brings to society and to embrace the neurological otherness in ourselves and our friends and teammates.

At EUR we have diverse tools and initiatives regarding neurodiversity:
