Please Join us in welcoming Richard Toppo, from India. He is researching the evolving relations between the state. the maoists and the tribals, his supervisors are Kees Biekart and Rachel Kurian.
"I would like to believe that my orientation is not purely academic, and that it has a strong activist element to it. My work, besides academia, is mostly concerned with the tribal rights movement in the central and eastern part of India. I also partly entertain myself with the International Relations literature, specifically on the Sino-Indian front. I have a terrible taste in music and dance, and when it comes to food, I enjoy eating anything and everything. Not a sportsperson, but I do like to play badminton at times. That would be all about myself. "
