Training Gelijkspel (Fair Play) for students during Student Wellbeing Week

How do we want to treat each other when it comes to sex? On Nov 26th, IDEA Center invited EUR students to talk about positive sexual behaviour in a training by GELIJKSPEL.

With the help of relatable situations and examples (“Would you be honest or make up a polite excuse when turning someone down?”), students could practice positive actions that they could take to ensure a safe but also a pleasant sexual environment among one another. Participants were prompted to think about the importance of setting boundaries, communicating their gameplan, and backing up their friends.

While it was clear that everyone has different ways to talk or think about intimate situations, one message was clear: it is your right to change your “Yes” into a "No” at any point.

This workshop was organised by IDEA Center as part of the Student Wellbeing Week which takes place at Erasmus University Rotterdam twice a year and gives students a chance to focus on their physical and mental wellbeing. A safe sexual environment contributes to the overall social safety of our students, and that is why it is important to continue having open conversations on the ways to foster it. Let's continue talking about sex!
