Oosterling taught philosophy at EUR until 2018. He also designed and implemented eco-social curricula in primary and vocational education. He ran Rotterdam Vakmanstad. For his work he received the Rotterdam Laurenspenning, the Van Praag Prize and the Lof der Zotheid Speld.
