Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) visited EUR

On 23 April 2019, Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) visited our University. The meeting was organized and held by Ms. Weichia Tseng, Managing Director of Erasmus University China Centre (EUCC). The WUT delegation was led by vice president Prof. KANG Canhua and two additional delegation members: the Deputy Director of the International School of Material science and Engineering, Prof. SU Kui, and the Deputy Director of the International Office, Ms. XIANG Fan.

The meeting formed a great start for the cooperation between WUT and EUR. WUT has shown serious interest in establishing a partnership with some of our schools/departments, such as logistics, economics and management. Moreover, both sides agreed to staffs exchange and joint academic research as a means to obtain a better insight into one another and therefore strengthen the cooperation.

WUT is one of the leading Chinese universities accredited by the Ministry of Education and one of the universities founded by the "State Project 211" for Chinese higher education institutions. It is also a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines. WUT has established more than 100 partner universities among the world, including Harvard University, University of Michigan, University of Virginia and Delft University of Technology.

Because logistics forms a strong research interest of both universities, cooperation might start off in this area and progress from there.
