Profile

My research area focuses on the short and long term consequences of maternal and fetal health on brain developmental features, including behaviour and cognition, as well as brain morphology and connectivity. From a developmental origins of health and disease (DoHaD) perspective, non-optimal health during the specific critical period in early life (e.g. due to prenatal exposure to substance use, medication, stress and disease) may have potential long term consequences on health and (brain) development later in life.
