Profile
Marisela Martínez Claros received her medical degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, (U.N.A.M.). Afterwards, she worked at the laboratory of Plastic Neuronal networks at the Institute of Neurobiology in Queretaro, Mexico, where she started her Ph.D. thesis investigating the effect of corticosterone and spatial learning on hippocampal plasticity. She was awarded a Marie-Curie fellowship grant, and she finished her Ph.D. at Maastricht University. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she had the opportunity to be Problem Based Learning tutor of medical students, an experience that encouraged her to apply to the position of tutor at the brand new Erasmus University College in 2013. Currently, she is Senior Lecturer in Life Sciences, and she coordinates the Pre-med major.
