IT Servicedesk

Employee gets help at the IT Service Desk.

As part of the IT Service Desk, you contribute daily to solutions that have a direct impact on the academic and operational activities of the university.

Our team focuses on providing customer-oriented support by means of fast and correct handling of questions. We use knowledge bases, standardised procedures and are in constant contact with other IT teams to guarantee smooth service provision. Feedback from end users plays an important role in this: via feedback forms we collect valuable insights that we incorporate into our work processes in order to continuously improve them.

Challenges

One of the biggest challenges is finding a balance between standard solutions and customization for more complex questions. We tackle this by working flexibly, setting sharp priorities and working closely with other teams. Satisfaction is monitored via surveys, so that we can increasingly tailor our services to the needs of our users.

What motivates us is the direct impact we have on the daily work experience of students and employees. Every day offers new challenges and opportunities to add value. EUR supports the growth of its employees by offering certifications, coaching and sufficient space for specialization and career development within IT.

Culture

Within our team, there is a collegial and solution-oriented dynamic. Everyone is willing to help each other, which contributes to a positive and inspiring working environment. Knowledge sharing is an important part of our job, which is stimulated through weekly stand-ups, central knowledge bases and communication via platforms such as Microsoft Teams. Innovation is encouraged by challenging team members to come up with creative solutions that are also included in the long-term planning.

In addition, managers and team leaders organise working visits to other universities several times a year to exchange insights and best practices.

Suitable for you?
